High School Youth Care Worker

Position: High School Youth Care Worker Opportunity
Make a difference in the lives of high school students as a Youth Care Worker. This part-time role focuses on crisis intervention, student well-being, and collaboration with educators.

We are seeking a Youth Care Worker (0.4 FTE) who will perform crucial interventions for high school students when needed. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field along with preferred experience working with youth. You will work closely with teachers, counselors, and families, developing strategies to support students and improve interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform short-term and crisis intervention for students

• Provide programming on well-being issues

• Consult with teachers to explore supportive strategies

• Maintain confidential records of student interactions

• Facilitate communication with parents for consistent support

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required

• Preferred experience in educational or counseling settings

• Relevant youth care certifications are a plus

• Strong understanding of youth behavior management

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and child protection laws
