Part Time Intake Social Worker

This permanent part time position involves 21 hours per week focused on promoting well‑being through trauma‑informed practices. As part of the Child Safety Department, you will utilize your skills to assess child safety concerns and collaborate with families to ensure effective support and service delivery.

• Receive and document new child safety reports
• Conduct holistic assessments and Prior Contact Checks
• Determine service eligibility and plan protection responses
• Engage with families, communities, Bands, and Elders
• Document decisions per VACFSS standards

• Bachelor’s in Social Work, Child & Youth Care, or related field
• Minimum 2 years C6 delegated experience
• Solid understanding of relevant child welfare acts
• Computer skills for Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and vehicle
