This role requires the successful candidate to engage with youth in the Aboriginal Youth Safehouse Program. You will focus on promoting individual strengths and preparing youth for stability through housing, education, and life skill development. Your efforts will directly impact their mental, physical health, and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a positive role model and supervise youth activities
• Establish rapport and build relationships with youth
• Develop care plans and advocacy strategies
• Record relevant information accurately in required systems
• Support youth dealing with mental health and substance issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Diploma in relevant field
• Two years of related experience, specific to Indigenous community
• Knowledge of issues facing Indigenous youth today
• Criminal record check required by UNYA
• Proof of Covid‑19 vaccination needed
