Family Support Worker

Position: Family Support Worker at RainCity Housing
Make a positive impact with Rain City Housing as a Family Support Worker in casual employment. Provide essential family-centered services that prioritize women and children’s well-being.

In this casual role, you'll work alongside the Management Team to deliver vital support services to women and their children. The Family Support Worker focuses on assessing needs, developing service plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Your contributions will enhance the safety, health, and community engagement of families accessing our services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess family needs and develop tailored service plans

• Provide crisis intervention and daily support

• Educate families on mental health, substance use, and parenting

• Collaborate with external service providers effectively

• Ensure compliance with confidentiality and program policies

Requirements:

• Diploma in community social services required

• At least two years of experience with families in similar contexts

• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions

• Strong understanding of women’s issues in a feminist framework

Support women and families through dedicated service at Rain City Housing's Budzey program.
