Enhance the lives of Indigenous children by joining VACFSS as a Social Work Assistant. This full-time role focuses on crucial support in casework and youth services in Vancouver, BC.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will assist social workers in various tasks in helping protect the rights of Indigenous families. Your work includes arranging services, supervising visits, and contributing to case management plans. You'll directly interact with youth and foster parents, making a significant difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily social work tasks and case activities
• Provide administrative support for case management
• Facilitate visits and provide transportation for clients
• Engage with children, youth, and their families
• Help implement culturally relevant support strategies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field
• Two years of relevant experience with children and youth
• Clean Class 5 Driver’s License is a must
• Union membership is compulsory
• Open to applicants of all genders
