As an Employment Specialist, your responsibilities will include crafting personalized employment plans and conducting engaging group activities that bolster skills and community connections. With a focus on participants in the Lower Mainland, your work combines advocacy, employer engagement, and therapeutic recreation to ensure effective outcomes on their paths to independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and assess client employment goals
• Facilitate group programs that enhance skills
• Engage with employers to create job opportunities
• Participate actively in service planning meetings
• Provide support in community and workplace settings
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Sciences or equivalent experience
• Three years in a supportive role for individuals with disabilities
• Strong understanding of recovery-oriented practices
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle
