Enhance lives for vision loss individuals as a Disability Benefits Navigator at VLRC's GAIN Program. Facilitate their access to critical benefits and services.
As a full-time team member, your role will be key in helping clients navigate the complexities of disability benefits applications. You will utilize your knowledge of programs including the Canada Disability Benefit to assist in achieving client satisfaction. Building collaborative relationships with community partners will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring clients receive holistic support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized application support and guidance
• Track and manage client applications and appeal processes
• Update team on changes in benefit programs
• Contribute to program feedback and service improvement
• Document client interactions following VLRC policies
Requirements:
• 2+ years navigating healthcare or social services
• Post-secondary education in relevant disciplines
• Strong advocacy and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in case-management systems
• Experience with culturally diverse populations
Play a pivotal role in connecting individuals with the disability benefits they need and fostering their independence at VLRC.
