Ideal candidates enjoy engaging with youth and facilitating community outings while respecting their unique identities and cultures. Responsibilities include providing essential support to help youth manage emotional and behavioral challenges. Education in Child and Youth Care or similar fields is preferred, along with experience dealing with significant mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients in achieving goals per their Individual Support Plan
• Assist with supervising emotional and social development
• Employ de-escalation techniques to handle difficult behaviors
• Model healthy relationship behaviors and set boundaries
• Safely transport clients for appointments and activities
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related discipline
• At least 1 year of relevant experience required
• Clean Class 5 BC Driver’s License
• Ability to perform CPR/First Aid if needed
• Emphasis on respect for diverse cultural backgrounds
