Social Worker Coastal Health

Make a difference as a Social Worker with Vancouver Coastal Health in North Vancouver, BC.

This role offers a chance to provide critical support within a client-focused recovery model.

As a social worker, you will join the Mental Health and Substance Use team, where your expertise will be used to assess and support clients with complex needs. You will conduct comprehensive psycho-social evaluations, deliver individual and group counseling services, and work closely with clients and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth transitions through care services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough social and psycho-social assessments

• Provide counseling services to individuals and groups

• Attend clinical case conferences for client evaluations

• Collaborate with teams on client admissions and discharges

• Prepare and maintain accurate client records

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution

• Three years of relevant experience in a psychiatric setting

• Full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers

• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle

• Knowledge of community mental health resources
