The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Worker to assist clients in the Men's Treatment program during weekends. You'll monitor client activities, support their acclimatization, and facilitate important step-work meetings. Additionally, you'll perform administrative duties and maintain ethical relationships within a multi-program facility that serves diverse community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor client activities and provide moral support
• Facilitate weekly Step-Work Group for clients
• Administer evening medications and assist with intake
• Maintain documentation of client interactions and check-ins
• Report concerning behaviors to appropriate staff
Requirements:
• Experience in peer support or related field
• Comfort working with vulnerable populations
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Understanding of recovery principles and confidentiality
• Ability to work weekends from 2pm to 10pm
