Your role involves providing personalized settlement support and guidance across multiple essential areas.
This six-month contract requires dedication to client success and proven experience in settlement counselling. You will conduct needs assessments, develop tailored plans, and connect clients with crucial services like healthcare and legal support. Collaborating with community partners is key to ensuring stability and successful integration for your clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake and needs assessments for new clients
• Develop personalized settlement plans and monitor progress
• Provide information regarding healthcare and immigrant services
• Support clients with applications and documentation needs
• Facilitate workshops and community connections for clients
Requirements:
• Relevant degree or settlement training experience
• Prior settlement counselling experience with newcomers
• Knowledge of community resources and barriers for immigrants
• Strong facilitation and communication skills
• A valid Police Reference Check and reliable vehicle for outreach
Facilitate successful integration and stability for newcomers in Ontario's welcoming community with YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka.
