Full-Time Housing Outreach Worker

The Downtown Eastside Women's Centre (DEWC) is hiring a full-time Housing Outreach Worker to support women in the Downtown Eastside. This role requires at least two years of experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those affected by gender-based violence and homelessness.

Your role will involve applying trauma-informed care and working from a feminist perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outreach services for housing support and stability

• Assist women in navigating housing options and resources

• Maintain accurate records and case management logs

• Collaborate effectively with community resources and agencies

• Promote DEWC's mission and values actively

Requirements:

• Minimum two years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of issues affecting women in the Downtown Eastside

• First Aid Certification required; NVCI preferred

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a challenging, crisis-driven environment
