On-Call Victim Services Support Worker

In this flexible role, based on an anti-oppressive framework, you will respond to calls for assistance and accompany victims during hospital visits. Your responsibilities will include emotional support, information provision, and liaising with community agencies. This is a unionized position that emphasizes collaboration within the Victim Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend to survivors in crisis, providing emotional support
• Perform intakes to inform clients about available services
• Operate the crisis line to assist callers in need
• Accompany clients receiving medical care at hospitals
• Facilitate support for court-related processes
Requirements:
• Diploma in a relevant area of study
• A minimum of 6 months in a related role
• Strong commitment to feminist anti-oppression approaches
• Effective in engaging with diverse client backgrounds
• Completion of a criminal record check
