You will work with youth aged 16-24, offering support to help them address complex challenges and regain stability. Your work is essential in fostering a non-judgmental atmosphere where young people can thrive. Emphasizing strong interpersonal and crisis intervention skills, you will play a pivotal role in their recovery journey and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet youth and assess their immediate needs
• Develop and maintain supportive relationships
• Document client interactions and manage case files
• Provide practical resources and crisis support
• Coordinate youth meetings and recreational activities
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in social services preferred
• Over a year of related experience in a harm reduction setting
• Familiarity with youth homelessness and mental health challenges
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain professionalism
• Must demonstrate a commitment to safety and well-being
Contribute meaningfully to Covenant House Vancouver by supporting youth on their paths to recovery.
