Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a passionate Recovery Advocate to join its Specialized Substance Use Engage Team. This role is designed for individuals with a commitment to advocating for clients and providing essential group recovery sessions. Build respectful relationships while assisting clients in accessing necessary health and social services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide advocacy and recovery support tailored to client needs
• Organize and facilitate community outreach activities
• Assist in compiling statistics and preparing project reports
• Participate in team planning and operational initiatives
• Coordinate educational sessions and recreational support
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Services and two years’ experience
• Personal experience with substance use recovery preferred
• Valid BC Driver's License for travel as needed
• Knowledge of health concerns in the designated community
• Ability to connect with diverse community and service providers
Foster client connections and support their recovery journey at Vancouver Coastal Health.
