About Our Opportunity  Working within the mission, vision, values and person-centred philosophy of the Agency, the Assistant Manager supervises Directions Youth Services Centre program staff, including selection, performance management, discipline and dismissal. The role supervises case management: plans, develops, implements, and oversees client engagement strategies and the creation of individual service plans for youth. With the support of the program management, the Assistant Manager plans, develops, implements, and oversees the ongoing day-to-day operation of the program.

It actively supports the Agency’s awareness and goals around diversity and inclusion.

Work Hours:

37.5 per week (Full-time);
Tuesday-Saturday, flexible schedule: generally 10am-6pm
Salary:  MGP2 Step 1 $ 38.28 - $42.43 per hour

What do you need to succeed?
Education, Training, Experience
Bachelor’s degree in social work, youth care, or related field
Five (5) years’ experience working with homeless and/or at-risk youth, plus three (3) years managing and leading team members
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Role Qualifications and Skills include, but are not limited to   Awareness of community services, resources and systems and ability to work with these; competence in working with a multi-cultural community
A committed ability to keep informed about evolving trends and practices, share knowledge, and support staffto integrate innovation into the delivery of quality care/services
Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, manage and evaluate clinical programs considering client needs, service delivery interrelationships, and service potential within a complex environment
