Residential Youth Care Worker Position

Become a Residential Youth Care Worker at Taproot Community Support Services in Vancouver. This temporary full-time position emphasizes trauma-informed care and life skills development for children with moderate to severe behavioral issues.

You will play a pivotal role in New Leaf House, caring for children under 12 while collaborating with care teams to design effective personal service plans. Engage youth through therapeutic and recreational activities, ensuring their needs are met and safety prioritized. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized service plans

• Facilitate emotional support and crisis intervention

• Monitor the well-being and safety of children

• Provide daily living assistance and hygiene support

• Maintain accurate reports and documentation

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field

• Two years of relevant experience required

• Clean Class 5 BC Driver's License

• CPR and First Aid certifications

• Experience with behavioral interventions
