Lookout Housing and Health Society seeks a full-time temporary Shelter Case Worker reporting to the Site Manager. You will work in drop-in and peer support, assisting guests affected by homelessness, addictions, and mental health concerns. The position includes case planning, crisis follow-up, documentation, and community referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and supervise homeless adults facing multiple barriers
Assess needs and develop flexible action plans
Refer guests to housing, health, legal, and community services
Complete required records and maintain statistical data
Contribute to shelter health and safety programs
Requirements:
Related diploma or certificate, or equivalent qualifications
Two years of recent related experience with Grade 12
Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
Case planning and crisis intervention knowledge
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Clearance
Bring case planning, communication, and crisis support skills to Lookout’s shelter services for adults facing complex barriers.
