As Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers in developing modern client SDK capabilities that integrate video games with networked services, promoting seamless and feature-rich experiences for players worldwide. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager and oversee a team of 5 direct reports.
Responsibilities- Develop a team of software engineers through regular one-on-ones, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Set technical strategy and ensure best practices in software design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Partner with product managers, program managers, and partners to define goals, scope, and timelines and oversee project execution to ensure delivery.
- Champion continuous integration, automated testing, and monitoring to ensure high system reliability.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in a management role.
- Experience developing and shipping mobile games or applications across iOS and Android platforms.
- Professional experience working in C++.
- Familiarity with Java, C#, Python, Objective-C, and Swift.
- Experience collaborating with Product and Program Managers.
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
Compensation And BenefitsThe ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits.
PAY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$119,600 - $167,300 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
