What you will be doing:
Assist in the execution of application security assessments, including design analysis, code review, and penetration testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Utilize both automated and manual testing methodologies to identify vulnerabilities and assess risk.
Support the development and maintenance of secure coding practices in collaboration with software engineering teams.
Conduct research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive techniques to support continuous improvement of security processes.
Engage in professional development activities, including technical training and participation in industry forums.
What you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or STEM
Foundational experience in software development, ideally 2 years of more
1 year or more of application security experience
Familiarity with secure software design principles, development methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Golang, C#, Python, or C++.
Understanding of common security vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25.
Exposure to security testing tools and methodologies (e.g., static, dynamic, black-box, or white-box analysis).
Awareness of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, or SAML.
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret technical findings clearly.
Salary/Rate Range: $100,000 – $140,000
