IGG Canada is a division of IGG (I Got Games), a global interactive digital entertainment company that specializes in the development and operation of Mobile Games.

• Title: C++ Backend Developer/Programmer (Mobile Game)
• Report to: Team Lead
• Department: ZQ Game Programming
• Employment Type: Full‑Time Permanent
• Location: 5 East 8th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5T 1R6 (fully on‑site) [will relocate to 988 West Broadway by end of the year]
• Compensation: $68,000 – $94,000 annually
• Minimum Experience: Experienced (3+ years)

• Develop and maintain backend systems for various in‑game features.
• Collaborate closely with game designers to design and implement core gameplay systems.
• Optimize and enhance existing server architecture to improve performance and ensure long‑term stability.
• Maintain high code quality standards, ensuring readability, scalability, and reusability.
• Develop and maintain backend tools to improve development efficiency.
• Perform other related tasks.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development for online or mobile games.
• Proven experience with large‑scale strategy (SLG) game projects is a strong asset.
• Proficient in C++ with solid understanding of network communication and multithreaded programming.
• Hands‑on experience with Mongo
  
  DB, MySQL, or other major databases.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize related challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage stress and work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
