Kickstart your career in technology as a Firmware Engineering Intern with AMD, located in Vancouver, Canada. This onsite/hybrid internship is aimed at developing crucial firmware for AI and embedded systems.
In your internship role, you'll work alongside industry experts to craft, implement, and debug firmware features, enhancing next-generation computing. Candidates should be enrolled in a related Bachelor's degree, focusing on Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Your duties will include contributing to design reviews and applying best practices in AGILE development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Debug and validate firmware on reference hardware
• Assist in design and code reviews actively
• Create comprehensive documentation for all software
• Apply software engineering processes in projects
• Engage in low-level programming for firmware development
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in a relevant field
• Experience with low-level programming languages
• Familiarity with embedded systems and debugging practice
• Knowledge of open-source principles and tools
• Understanding of graphics and compute pipeline architectures
