Shape immersive game worlds at 2K Sports Lab as a C++ Gameplay Systems Software Engineer. Join our Vancouver team to develop crowd and NPC systems for a groundbreaking sports franchise.
We're looking for a passionate and skilled engineer with 3+ years of professional game development experience. You'll leverage your strong modern C++ fundamentals and knowledge of Unreal Engine (UE5) to build large-scale gameplay systems. Contribute to the foundational technologies that power dense, believable environments in our next major title.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust C++ runtime systems
• Collaborate with AI and Animation teams for seamless gameplay
• Develop scalable LOD and visibility systems
• Profile CPU and memory costs using Unreal Insights
• Enhance our character pipeline and runtime processes
Requirements:
• 3+ years in game development or real-time simulation
• Proficient modern C++ skills in performance and debugging
• Practical experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5
• Knowledge in gameplay or animation systems development
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities
