Electronic Arts creates next‑level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. In the EAX team we guide the strategy and implementation of key initiatives such as the EA app, EA Play, a cross‑platform subscription, and other consumer experiences that connect players across platforms.

As a Software Engineer, you will build and grow player‑facing experiences within the EA app, collaborate across departments, and analyze live service product performance. You will report to the Engineering Manager as a core contributor on the EA Vancouver team.

• Build testable modular components and features, and debug live issues.
• Collaborate with other developers to promote the culture of technical performance, maintainability, and quality.
• Collaborate across departments (Design, Engineering, QA, Project Management) and other internal customers to align and implement.
• Learn new technologies and apply new techniques to improve existing solutions.

• 4+ years of experience in a technical role focused on development and operation of live services at scale.
• Strong Java script and Typescript experience.
• Strong React experience.
• Strong understanding of frontend web technologies, frameworks, and patterns.
• Familiarity with backend web technologies.
• Familiarity with databases.
• Experience with Graph
  
  QL, NodeJS, and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Familiarity with frontend automation testing frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with build and deploy pipelines and experience troubleshooting build failures.
• Familiarity with using content management systems such as Contentful.
• Supported and developed for a live service product with a large number of active users.

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g., Vancouver vs. Victoria) $104,500 - $142,800 CAD

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in this location at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g., education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

Pay Ranges: British Columbia – $104,500 to $142,800 CAD

Benefits include 3 weeks vacation per year to start, 10 days of sick time per year, paid top‑up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when welcoming a new child (12 weeks maternity, 4 weeks parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full‑time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
