Join AWS Partner Systems as a Software Development Engineer building the future of partner experience. You'll develop secured, highly available, performant, and scalable systems that support the AWS partner ecosystem—helping tens of thousands of consulting and technology partners succeed across every industry, company size, and region.
This role combines hands‑on software engineering with embracing AI transformation across the software development lifecycle. You'll work in collaborative teams shipping features through rapid iteration cycles while adopting AI‑assisted development practices and growing your skills toward AI‑empowered delivery.
Key Job Responsibilities- Design and develop services supporting partner onboarding, migration, account management, and automated journey orchestration.
- Contribute to projects by delivering high‑quality features through rapid iteration cycles.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to design decisions for partner‑facing systems.
- Collaborate on technical designs as living specifications that evolve with implementation.
- Build secured, highly available, performant systems on native AWS services.
Start the day reviewing sprint commitments and identifying blockers. Participate in a partner stakeholder interview to deepen understanding of new feature requirements. Collaborate on technical design, using AI to generate API specifications and prototype validation logic.
During development, leverage AI‑assisted practices—prompting AI to handle module implementation while focusing on verification, security validation, and integration testing. Pair with a teammate to refine prompting techniques that unlock more sophisticated AI capabilities.
In team rituals, review metrics showing improved deployment velocity and reduced operational burden, and contribute ideas for resolving identified constraints. Document what worked (and what didn’t) for the latest feature, contributing to the team’s shared knowledge base.
End the day shipping a feature that reduced manual partner interventions, celebrating the win with the team.
