Machine Learning Engineer UBC

Become a part of the AI in Medicine Lab at the University of British Columbia as a Machine Learning Engineer. This one-year term focuses on machine learning for cancer imaging and drug development.

The role involves collaborating on innovative projects in computational cancer biology and pathology. You will be responsible for designing machine learning models and developing analyses for complex datasets in genomics and medical imaging. Expectations include leveraging existing algorithms and modifying software for optimal cancer research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature reviews on medical imaging and genomics

• Design models for imaging and bioinformatics applications

• Analyze cancer tissue images using advanced algorithms

• Modify programming modules for integration with imaging platforms

• Document results and prepare analytical reports

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Applied Science

• Minimum one year related experience

• Proficient in Python and data structures

• Knowledge of Docker and cloud services
