At Motorola Solutions we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. The Video Division designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.
Job DescriptionOur co‑ops don’t wash cars or do coffee runs. They’re treated like full team members and learn what being a developer is like in the real world. For the duration of your work term, you will be a member of a multi‑disciplinary engineering team responsible for the design and implementation of the next generation of Motorola’s market‑leading high‑performance video solutions products.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and unit test new Access Control features
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects
- Work within cross‑functional teams to improve architectures, designs, frameworks, and processes
An unending desire to learn, apply, and share. Strong believer of good design patterns, reusability, and scaling methodologies. Excited by new challenges and have passion and initiative to get things done. Passion for UX and an eye for UI. Experience in Front‑End technologies (Ruby on Rails; JavaScript; React; Node.js; HTML; CSS; XML; REST; SOAP).
Preferred Skills- Ruby on Rails
- Experience with Redis
- Experience with Yocto builds
Base Salary Range: 38,000 - 63,000 CAD. Pay within this range varies and depends on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
