Software Engineer Intern - Vehicle Connectivity

Join Rivian as a Software Engineer Intern, specializing in Android connectivity solutions. Develop features in Kotlin, Java, and C++ for enhancing vehicle Bluetooth and Wi-Fi experiences.

This full-time internship, available from September 2026 to April 2027, targets students majoring in Computer Science or related fields. You will collaborate with engineers to design and implement new connectivity features and debug issues across various layers. Engage with UI/UX and product teams to create seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and ship Android connectivity features for vehicles

• Integrate Android APIs to manage connectivity states

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in app and hardware

• Contribute to design discussions and code reviews

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements

Requirements:

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering

• Commitment to return for full-time studies post-internship

• Proficiency in at least Java, Kotlin, or C++

• Understanding of Bluetooth and networking fundamentals

• Experience with Android connectivity frameworks
