Procedural Asset Technical Director

Position: Procedural Asset Technical Director Role
Join PaFX as a Procedural Asset and FX Technical Director in vibrant Vancouver, BC. This hybrid position requires deep technical knowledge in Houdini to support global production teams.

You'll partner with various teams, providing critical technical direction and developing new tools that enhance workflows. Your solid experience in Houdini and USD will allow you to troubleshoot and craft solutions while communicating effectively with both technical supervisors and artists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide teams on Houdini and USD best practices

• Design and implement scalable production tools

• Debug and resolve pipeline issues effectively

• Collaborate with other TDs to support major initiatives

• Conduct QA and validation of new technologies

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of TD experience in VFX or animation

• Strong proficiency in Houdini and procedural workflows

• Experience in Python development for custom interfaces

• Solid understanding of version control software, particularly Git

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
