About the Role
Sr. Manager, Software Development Engineering – lead a team of engineers to advance our AI‑powered contract management solutions and deliver outstanding value to clients worldwide.
What you’ll do- Collaborate extensively: partner with engineering, machine learning, product management, and design teams to bring our vision, strategy, and roadmap to life.
- Cultivate an inclusive team culture: develop a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, encourages experimentation and innovation, and promotes a deep understanding of both our business and engineering best practices.
- Take ownership: be responsible for the development, maintenance, and performance of key areas of our platform, adopting a "you build it, you run it" attitude.
- Communicate optimally: clearly and proactively connect with your team and partners.
- Empower your team: provide engineers with the support, resources, and constructive feedback they need to thrive and grow professionally.
- Build a strong team: recruit, hire, develop, and retain versatile engineers from all backgrounds.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering leadership, with a strong focus on cloud‑based systems and AI/ML.
- 10+ years of experience with design and development for mission‑critical systems at scale.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to seek out and hire the highest performing professionals to build cutting‑edge products with AI capabilities.
- Extensive experience in building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS and Python ecosystem preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of modern software development practices (devops, automated testing, observability, AI code generation / review / testing, etc).
- Deep understanding of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise‑grade AI architectures, API integration, and large‑scale automation.
- Successful track record of leading cross‑functional teams in fast‑paced, agile environments.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity to turn hard problems into clear and compelling solutions through reasoning and research.
Annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Pay ranges vary by work location. The total compensation package may include the Workday Bonus Plan or a role‑specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
