SAP Concur iXp Intern - Software Developer

As a Software Developer Intern on the Concur Platform Engineering team, you will contribute to scaling the Concur App Center by building elastically scalable microservices. You will work across the full stack from UI clients and server applications to data stores and delivery pipelines.

This 8‑month, full‑time internship begins September8,2026 and is based in Vancouver, BC.

• Build web apps and cloud services in a microservice architecture
• Understand, debug, and improve code used by real customers
• Scale and enhance software systems that span multiple teams
• Own services end‑to‑end: develop code, write test automation, manage Dev Ops, resolve production problems
• Use AI coding tools as part of everyday development workflow
• Problem‑solve alongside experienced engineers
• Grow technical, architectural, and communication skills through hands‑on project work

Education:

Computer Science or related field of study. Eligibility:
Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated, with completion within the past six months.

• Familiarity with Golang, JavaScript, Node.js, Type Script, React/Redux, GraphQL, Java, Kotlin, Python, C# (.NET) and concurrent programming concepts
• Experience with Linux, shell scripting, Git, SRE/Dev Ops, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible, continuous/frequent deployments, and zero‑downtime techniques
• Database knowledge (MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Memcache, DynamoDB)
• Understanding of web application architecture, TCP/IP networking, HTTP/Web Socket, load balancing, AJAX, encryption (SSL/TLS, JWT), security fundamentals (XSS, CSRF), CDNs, performance monitoring (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Dynatrace), and test automation (unit, integration, end‑to‑end)
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools and practices (Git Hub Copilot, LLMs for code generation and review)
