About the Role
Senior Backend Software Engineer for Evisort Engineering, building and supporting AI‑driven contract management platform.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and design teams to build and evolve our vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Take ownership of multiple functional areas in our platform – from development to production (“you build it, you run it”).
- Design and build high‑performance back‑end services using Python to facilitate communication between microservices.
- Actively monitor and optimize code to ensure platform performance.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies to ensure the health and performance of all integrations and back‑end services.
- Participate in a supportive, iterative team culture that values curiosity, learning, and strong engineering practices.
- Contribute to the growth and success of teammates through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering (or 5+ years for early career, as discussed).
- 2+ years of experience with a web development framework (Python/Type Script preferred: Flask, NestJS, Express, Django, or FastAPI).
- Experience designing, building, and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Familiarity with LLMs and Agent development.
- Understanding of modern distributed systems and event‑driven architectures.
- Knowledge of software development best practices (Dev Ops, CI/CD, automated testing, observability).
- Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Elasticsearch or other document stores.
- Experience with observability tools like Sentry and Grafana and building monitoring dashboards.
- Proven success in fast‑paced, agile environments and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical partners.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex problems into clear solutions.
- Committed to fostering an inclusive, team‑oriented environment.
Base pay range: $140,000
CAD–$210,000
CAD. Eligible for Workday Bonus Plan, commissions, annual refresh stock grants, and comprehensive benefits as described on our career site.

Vancouver, BC. Flexible work model: at least 50% of time spent in office or field per quarter; remaining time may be remote.
