Software Dev Engineer II, Oracle Database@AWS

The Oracle Database@AWS (ODB@AWS) team is looking for a talented Software Development Engineer II to help design, build, and operate a fully managed Oracle Database service on AWS.

• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems that power the ODB@AWS service.
• Own end-to-end feature delivery from requirements gathering through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, database engineers, and partner teams across AWS.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and drive technical excellence through code reviews, design documents, and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the technical bar for the team.

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
