In this high-ownership role, you'll build and deploy backend systems that signify Instrumentl's growth as a SaaS leader for nonprofit grants management. You’ll create LLM-driven features essential for grant discovery and streamline research tools. Your expertise in Python and agile methodologies will be crucial to ensure functionality and reliability, as you collaborate across teams to enhance capabilities and deploy effective solutions for over 5,500 users.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop AI capabilities for grant application resources
• Establish effective observability within deployed solutions
• Write and maintain rigorous backend code for reliability
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams on feature scoping
• Conduct experiments to drive engineering improvements
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of backend development in Python
• Experience with LLM and production-level features
• Strong background in SQL and schema design
• Knowledge of Docker, AWS, or GCP beneficial
• Adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment focusing on innovation
