Backend Engineer in .NET & Python

Advance your skills as a Backend Engineer at Posi Trace in Burnaby, BC, focusing on innovative technologies like .NET 8 and Python. This full-time, on-site position is pivotal to our architecture transformation.

Join us to co-own the migration to a MACH architecture, where your expertise in building and optimizing backend services will help us scale our GPS fleet tracking platform. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design microservices, develop core systems, and enhance user experience through robust API design.

Your role will be integral to managing and optimizing data processing flows in a high-load environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct backend services using .NET 8 and FastAPI

• Design and implement microservices and data flows

• Review production-grade code with a test-driven approach

• Deploy applications with zero downtime using Kubernetes

• Maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL databases for efficiency

Requirements:

• Proven production experience with .NET 8 and Python

• Strong understanding of MySQL and query optimization

• Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD pipelines

• Hands-on experience with asynchronous message brokers

• Excellent English communication skills
