In this role, you will take charge of key software projects while mentoring fellow engineers. Your skills in software development will help resolve complex issues and improve workflows for creative teams. You'll also work closely with both technical and artistic members to ensure that tools meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage complex software projects with timely delivery
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews
• Write scalable, efficient code while following best practices
• Define and execute risk mitigation strategies for large projects
• Collaborate on architecture and design for new tools
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
• Minimum four years in software development left
• Proficient in Python and experience in UNIX/Linux environments
• Strong UI/UX understanding, specifically Qt/Py Qt
• Proven experience with software integration for Maya and similar tools
Utilize your development leadership and technical skills to craft artist-facing solutions at Sony Pictures Imageworks.
