RB Global is on the lookout for a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer to revolutionize our Data Engineering team. In this strategic role, you will define the technical vision and lead the design of robust data platforms.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will spearhead architecture decisions and mentor engineers while collaborating closely with diverse teams. Your expertise will drive the innovation of ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and dbt, while establishing best practices for scalability and efficiency.
Your role is pivotal in advancing data governance and quality standards across our enterprise-level data platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive technical vision for enterprise data architecture
• Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Python, SQL
• Optimize data models within Snowflake and Big Query
• Standardize Snowflake semantic views for consistent reporting
• Lead workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow
Requirements:
• 10+ years in software or data engineering
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Expertise in cloud data warehouses, especially Snowflake
• Extensive experience with dbt and data modeling
• Strong mentoring and leadership skills
