Drive innovation at Varicent as a Backend Engineering Lead specializing in scalable data systems. Leverage your expertise in distributed architectures and massive datasets to enhance cloud-native platforms.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll take the reins in architecting and optimizing backend services for high performance. You'll design and build REST APIs and data processing pipelines while collaborating with Dev Ops and QA throughout development. Mentoring junior developers and improving engineering standards will also be a key part of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and scale new features for REST APIs
• Optimize backend services for high throughput
• Develop data-driven applications in Python and C#
• Improve microservices scalability and reliability
• Mentor developers and lead code reviews
Requirements:
• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• 3+ years with Typescript, Node.js, or C#
• Advanced AWS skills across various services
• Experience with batch and stream processing techniques
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and security
