We are seeking a dynamic, delivery-focused Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team. The client's SaaS platform integrates directly with major partner banks; the team operates at the intersection of product engineering and high‑stakes client delivery.
As a hands‑on leader, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of key projects, ensuring your team produces high‑quality, scalable, and robust software solutions. You will work closely with partner banks, product teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, secure, and timely platform integrations. You will manage client‑facing expectations, navigate shifting bank requirements, and ensure the team meets revenue‑impacting integration deadlines.
Responsibilities
Lead an engineering team of 4–8 engineers.
Deliver complex technical projects and own product or platform features.
Collaborate with partner banks, product managers, and cross‑functional partners.
Maintain high‑quality software standards and secure platform integrations.
Qualifications
A relevant Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of total industry experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of 4–8 engineers.
Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects and owning product or platform features.
Experience with Java, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
Experience with relational and non‑relational databases.
Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, stakeholders, and other cross‑functional partners.
A growth mindset with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
Previous experience in Fin Tech, payments, or with accounting/ERP systems is a strong asset.
Compensation & Benefits
Hiring Salary Range: $135,000 – $170,000 annually (base pay is based on comparable market data from companies of similar employee size, revenue, and location).
