Charge Calculation is the backbone of every purchase on Amazon. We own the systems that orchestrate how charges are computed, represented, and communicated across the entire consumer buying journey — from cart to confirmation. Our services sit at a critical intersection of Amazon's eCommerce platform, touching dozens of upstream and downstream systems that power the purchase experience for hundreds of millions of customers worldwide.

The Charge Calculation team is a crucial part of Amazon's eCommerce foundation. We own systems integral to the full lifecycle of consumer purchasing on Amazon. Our team orchestrates charge calculations and provides comprehensive charge summaries to clients. We also own the model that defines charge representation in the workflow, impacting numerous up and downstream services in the purchase journey.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
