Join Astera Labs as an Embedded Firmware Engineer Tech Lead and revolutionize high-speed networking infrastructure. Work with a collaborative team in Ottawa to drive firmware development for advanced connectivity solutions.
In this position, you will write embedded C firmware, participating in hardware bring-up and automated testing. Your contributions will facilitate real-time performance and ensure adaptive behavior in connectivity devices deployed globally.
This role offers diverse responsibilities with ongoing collaboration in a startup culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write embedded firmware for analog and Ethernet devices
• Debug alongside senior engineers on hardware bring-up
• Create Python scripts to automate and analyze test data
• Keep Jira tickets updated and track project milestones
• Engage in team discussions for code and architecture
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years of embedded C/C++ experience
• Proficient with Linux development tools
• Familiarity with Python for testing automation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
