In this role, you will contribute directly to Arista’s BIOS team, developing critical firmware components and managing system initialization processes. You will be responsible for debugging complex issues and ensuring the reliability of software across various platforms. Collaboration with hardware engineers and external vendors is essential for integrating new CPUs into products, making your engineering skills vital for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain CPU firmware for Arista networking solutions
• Create automated tests to validate features using C, C++, and Python
• Partner with hardware teams for new CPU qualification
• Engage with Linux Kernel developments relevant to Arista products
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions
Requirements:
• BS in related field plus 8 years of experience or equivalent
• Strong expertise in C, with C++ and Python as a plus
• Proven history in firmware and BIOS development
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities
• Knowledge of IP networking principles
