On our UFC Rendering team , we build the technology behind immersive, high-quality visuals across multiple platforms. As a Rendering Software Engineer , you will join us in improving visual quality, performance, and player experience while partnering with Engineers, Artists, and Designers.
We work in a hybrid model, with three days per week onsite at our EAV Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia. You will report to the Senior Software Engineer.
ResponsibilitiesYou will develop and maintain rendering features, engine components, and tools.
You will help us research and implement real-time rendering techniques.
You will collaborate with our Art and Design teams to turn visual goals into technical solutions.
You will help us debug, profile, and optimize CPU/GPU performance.
Qualifications3+ years of professional C++ development experience.
2+ years working with real-time rendering engines.
Experience with DirectX 12, Vulkan, Metal, or similar APIs.
Experience with graphics debugging, profiling, optimization, multithreading, memory management, and PC or console development.
Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g. coding agents) to rapid prototype, accelerate execution and automate workflows, with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code.
Pay Transparency - North America COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAYRANGES
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
