Drive forward-thinking animation solutions as a Technical Director in Pre-Production at Netflix Animation Studios. This hybrid role requires a blend of technical skills and creativity to improve artist workflows and production efficiency.
As the Pre-Production Technical Director, you will be pivotal in developing tools and procedures that meet visual production requirements. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and optimizing existing technologies while collaborating with fellow TDs and engineers to ensure project success. This position combines hands-on coding and mentorship of mid-level technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of efficient pre-production tools
• Ensure workflows align with artistic objectives and standards
• Manage technical issues and provide solutions collaboratively
• Coordinate estimates and deadlines on technical projects
• Foster skill development among mid-level team members
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years in a technical production role in animation
• Expertise in Python and knowledge of relevant software tools
• Understanding of Pre-Production processes and technologies
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
• Educational background in Animation, Film, or related field
