Senior Developer, AI-Enabled

Our client, is seeking an experienced, highly technical Senior iOS Developer to join their Retail Technology engineering team. In this hands‑on mobile engineering role, you will help rebuild and scale modern iOS applications designed to elevate guest engagement and empower frontline retail employees. Working within a newly restructured, fast‑paced team environment, you will develop user‑centric features using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.

You will participate in the full software development lifecycle—from technical architectural design and code implementation to unit testing, code reviews, and production release—ensuring high performance, seamless user experiences, and robust application architecture across a large‑scale retail ecosystem.

Duration: 6-Month Contract (High likelihood of extension)

• Enterprise Retail Innovation Scope:
  Build and refine guest‑facing and employee‑enablement iOS applications for a globally recognized retail brand.
• Modern Mobile Stack:
  Work extensively with modern native iOS frameworks, focusing heavily on Swift and SwiftUI development.
• High‑Impact Team Rebuild:
  Play a foundational technical role within a newly restructured mobile engineering group with strong potential for contract extension.
• User‑Centric Product Exposure:
  Direct involvement in crafting seamless, high‑visibility digital touchpoints that impact retail store operations and customer experiences worldwide.

• Native iOS Application Engineering:
  Design, build, and maintain high‑performing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Architecture & Feature Delivery:
  Translate product requirements and user interface designs into clean, modular, and testable code across UIKit, Core Data, and custom UI components.
• API Integration & Performance Optimization:
  Integrate applications with backend services and RESTful APIs, optimizing performance, battery efficiency, and memory footprint.
• Code Quality & Peer Reviews:
  Participate in Agile ceremonies, conduct peer code reviews, and drive continuous improvement in engineering standards and automated testing practices.
• Production Support & Releases:
  Diagnose and resolve complex bug reports and performance bottlenecks in large‑scale production environments.
• Cross‑Functional

  Partner closely with product management, UX/UI designers, QA leads, and backend engineers to ensure high‑quality application launches.

• iOS Engineering Depth:
  Minimum 6+ years of dedicated, hands‑on experience in native iOS application development.

  Deep proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, Objective‑C, and Xcode.
• iOS Framework Knowledge:
  Practical experience with core iOS frameworks, including UIKit, Core Data, and networking protocols.
• Agile & Production Track Record:
  Proven track record of delivering mobile applications from concept through production release within an Agile environment.
• Large‑Scale Systems:
  Demonstrated experience writing resilient, scalable code within complex, enterprise‑grade production environments.
