Graphics API Standards Lead

Lead graphics API standards at Huawei Canada, applying Vulkan expertise and computer graphics knowledge to future-oriented API development.
As Khronos Standard Expert Lead, you will guide the graphics standard team within Huawei’s Central Media Technology Institute. You will define enhancements for graphics APIs, improve GPU application runtime performance, and collaborate with Huawei graphics standards and product teams. The role requires deep graphics API knowledge and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the graphics standard team and business vision
Define and develop enhancements for future graphics APIs
Propose API improvements supporting GPU runtime performance
Engage Huawei teams involved in graphics API standards
Collaborate with product teams on maintainable solutions
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Deep understanding of Vulkan, OpenGL, webGL, and webGPU
Three years in KHRONOS or W3C standard activities
Technical team leadership and computer graphics experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
