As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will build and operate control plane services for AWS Transactional Services. Your work supports lifecycle, placement, and metadata management for a distributed system handling hundreds of millions of operations per second. The position emphasizes scalability, availability, reliability, and end-to-end ownership.
Key Responsibilities:- Design scalable control plane services for distributed AWS systems
- Develop monitoring, automation, and operational tooling
- Improve service quality, reliability, and operational excellence
- Deliver features aligned with project commitments
- Mentor engineers and drive technology improvements
- Five-plus years of professional software development experience
- Five-plus years programming with at least one language
- Five-plus years leading system design or architecture
- Experience mentoring, tech leading, or leading teams
- Full software development lifecycle experience preferred
