Senior Rust Systems Engineer

Build high-performance Rust systems remotely with Kake, applying systems programming and asynchronous development to scalable software.
Kake seeks Senior Rust Engineers with five-plus years of software engineering experience. You will design backend services and distributed systems while applying ownership, lifetimes, traits, macros, and the borrow checker. The work includes technical leadership and complex production problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Design scalable, memory-safe Rust backend services
Implement concurrent, high-performance systems code
Build asynchronous services using frameworks such as Tokio
Guide architectural decisions across engineering projects
Resolve complex production architecture and coding challenges
Requirements:
Five-plus years of software engineering experience with Rust
Deep understanding of core Rust concepts

Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance-critical applications
Hands-on asynchronous Rust programming experience, particularly with Tokio
Excellent English communication and analytical problem-solving skills
