Lead Python architecture for AI systems in Vancouver, working onsite three days weekly across scalable machine learning infrastructure.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the AI team, you will guide production-grade engineering for language detection, sentiment analysis, and machine translation. You will connect Data Science research with reliable systems while advising Architecture and Product teams. The work emphasizes scalable microservices, MLOps, and high-performance NLP workloads.
Key Responsibilities:- Design high-throughput machine learning inference pipelines
- Define scalable microservices for global users
- Build model deployment and monitoring frameworks
- Optimize Python concurrency for NLP workloads
- Lead design reviews and TDD adoption
- 12+ years developing enterprise-grade backend software
- Expert Python skills, including profiling and memory management
- Advanced AsyncIO and multiprocessing experience
- Distributed systems and microservices architecture expertise
- Production ML deployment and monitoring experience
