This software engineering position supports foundational infrastructure behind RDS and Aurora control plane operations. You will work with database internals, distributed storage systems, high-availability architecture, and disaster recovery. The work serves millions of customer databases across regions and requires scalable, fault-tolerant solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Build systems supporting RDS control plane reliability
Develop database access governance and event-driven architectures
Automate disaster recovery and orchestrate backups
Own development, testing, deployment, and operations
Evolve shared infrastructure across team boundaries
Requirements:
Three-plus years of professional software development experience
Two-plus years designing or architecting reliable scalable systems
Experience programming with at least one language
Three-plus years across the full software development lifecycle
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
